Chapter Seven

~ Jared ~

“Jared,” Avery moaned, wrapping her arms and legs around me. She might struggle against our circumstances, but her body knew and wanted me.

“You’re mine, only mine,” I growled. The rage and need had built inside me for the past hour, demanding to be let out, demanding I claim my woman in the most basic of ways. I’d almost lost her. Someone had tried to take her. It enraged the darkness that had take over my life—my vampire part, apparently.

She didn’t reply to my claim, baiting the beast that had taken over my body. By God, she was mine, whether she believed it or not. Turning her, I yanked at her jeans then mine. I smelled her arousal, heard her jack-rabbiting heart.

My fingers slicked through her folds. “Wet. So wet for me,” I rasped. “You don’t want to admit it, but you’re mine, Avery. You’re this vampire’s mate.”

She whimpered, obviously wanting to disagree, but there was no denying her body’s responses nor the way she rocked into my hand while I stroked her. I brought my fingers up to her lips.

“Suck,” I demanded. “Taste what I do to you.”

Avery moaned, deep from her chest , but did as I commanded. I drove my thick cock into her. She cried out her pleasure around the digits she greedily suckled. “Jared…” Avery whispered. Her grip loosened on my arm then she went entirely limp.
